Nasal saline rinse with xylitol

Nasal saline with xylitol has been developed with ENT surgeons especially for patients with (chronic) rhinosinusitis. Nasal rinsing or nebulizing with Dos Medical nasal saline and xylitol ensures optimal rinsing and the degradation of the biofilm of bacteria.

The biofilm is a slimy layer produced by bacteria to adhere better to human tissue. In addition, the biofilm of bacteria also protect bacteria against immune responses of the human being, and to antibiotics. By doing so, bacteria create an improved survival for themselves.

Xylitol is also, in small amounts, created by man himself. The added value of xylitol is well known in dentistry. Therefore chewing gum with xylitol is developed: bacteria stick to the teeth (dental plaque) is neutralised by chewing gum with xylitol.

For an extra fresh feeling after rinsing with Dos Medical nasal saline with xylitol, a hint of mint is added.
"... Rinsing the nasal and paranasal sinus cavities with nasal saline and xylitol, the antibacterial agent that is also found in many sugar-free chewing gum, helps better than rinsing with plain nasal saline in chronic rhinosinusitis (= sinus infection). As this rinsing agent has a nice mint smell, it also gives a fresher feeling than rinsing with salt water ... '
