What is a nebulizer?
A nebulizer is a device that allows you to nebulize and inhale medications. You combine the medication with water and the device converts that liquid into mist (or mist). This way, the medicine gets to where it needs to be without difficulty: in the nose and paranasal sinuses.
When to use a nebulizer?
For example, use a nebulizer for the following nasal complaints:
- A (chronic) sinusitis
- Cold complaints
- Blockage, pain or pressure in the nose
Combine the prescribed medication with nasal rinse salt ampoules for optimal effect.
Which saline solution do you use in a nebulizer?
You always nebulize your vocal cords with a saltwater solution. This must be a sterile saline solution (NaCl 0.9%). Bal Air's saline solution ampoules, for example, are very suitable. These contain 3 ml of liquid. That is easy to dose and exactly enough for one nebulization.
