MEDCOAT tablet coating

Having trouble swallowing tablets or capsules? MEDCOAT is a smooth, saliva-stimulating coating that makes tablets and capsules easier to swallow. The coating also provides a fresh citrus flavor, making an unpleasant or bitter taste of medication less noticeable.

MEDCOAT is suitable for tablets and capsules of various shapes and sizes. Broken tablets can also be coated, provided the tablet in question can be divided. The coating dissolves quickly after swallowing.

How do you use MEDCOAT?

1. Remove the foil from the top and bottom of the applicator.
2. Push the tablet through the opening at the top.
3. Push through until the entire tablet is covered with MEDCOAT and wait 5 seconds.
4. Rotate the tablet twice without pulling on it.
5. Then quickly pull the tablet out of the applicator and swallow it with the recommended amount of water.

With one applicator, you can coat one large or two small tablets. However, coat small tablets one at a time.

When not to use MEDCOAT?

Do not use MEDCOAT if:

• Chewable tablets
• Tablets that must melt in the mouth
• Tablets that must first be dissolved in water
• Tablets or capsules that, according to the instructions, may only be taken with plain water
